“If you strike the King you better kill him or he’ll move on you and take your ass out”. This is the true-life story of a junkie turned multimillionaire drug-lord. MR. UNTOUCHABLE takes you deep inside the heroin game. With the first hand testimony of the black Godfather himself, Nicky Barnes. This is an epic story of business, excess, greed and revenge. –© Magnolia Pictures

Nicky Barnes is the main character in American Gangster portrayed by Denzel Washington. Nicky is the guy that would make his all female staff of heroin processors strip down naked while they worked so that they couldn’t pocket any powder.
Mr. Untouchable is almost a mirror version of the BET American Gangster exposé on Nicky Barnes but more stylish and unadulterated. The film is peppered with interviews of Nicky who has a million dollar hit on his head and hasn’t been seen by the public in years.
The main complaint is that this film glorifies Nicky’s deviance which is completely understandable, but if you are intrigued by real life gangsters and underground entrepreneurs you will enjoy this movie. It has a very similar feel to Cocaine Cowboys which is a movie I highly recommend about the illegal drug trade in Miami during the 70s and 80s.
